Odia film ‘Kalira Atita’ and movies in four other languages screened at the Second Bhubaneswar Film Festival

Bhubaneswar: On the second day of the Bhubaneswar Film Festival, the Urdu film *Hamid* was screened as the opening movie. Following the screening, the film’s director shared insights about the movie.

One of the main attractions on the second day was the Marathi film *Swaas*, directed by Sandeep Sawant. This was followed by the screening of *Bhavani Bhavai*, directed by Ketan Mehta.

Another major highlight of the second day was the Odia film *Kalira Atita*, directed by Nila Madhab Panda.

In commemoration of Guru Dutt’s centenary year, a memorial lecture was delivered by author Satya Sharan.

One of the major films on the final day of the festival was *Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam*. The presence of Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo among the large audience at Jayadev Bhavan added to the excitement and encouragement for the festival organizers.

Throughout the four-day festival, key roles in organizing the event were played by writer-director Sanjay Pattnaik, film critic Ashok Palit, actor Sukanta Rath, and sound engineer Subash Sahu.
