Box Office Clash This Festive Season: Charidham vs Challenge

Bhubaneswar: This festive season, Odisha’s silver screens are set for a dramatic face-off as two highly anticipated Odia films—Charidham: A Journey Within and Challenge—prepare for back-to-back releases on September 25 and 26 respectively.

Charidham, starring superstar Anubhav Mohanty, is an emotional, action-packed spiritual drama directed by Tapas Sargharia. Backed by Camera Queen Production, the film follows a devoted son’s pilgrimage to India’s four holy shrines—Badrinath, Dwarka, Puri, and Rameswaram—to fulfill his ailing parents’ last wish. With stunning visuals and heartfelt performances, the film is expected to tug at the heartstrings of audiences.

The cast includes Anuradha Panigrahi, Mamata Tripathy, Sukanta Rath, and Ashish Kumar Das, marking the third Anubhav-Sargharia collaboration after Love in London and Prem Kumar: Salesman of the Year.

On the other hand, Challenge, releasing a day later, is a gripping family-action drama led by Ardhendu Sahu and Lipi Mohapatra as a fiercely loyal brother-sister duo. Directed by Sai Kiran Mangaraj and produced by Adikanda Sahu under Adilaxmi Entertainment, the film explores themes of familial sacrifice and justice.

The film also stars Elina as the female lead, with Bobby Mishra and Bollywood actor Puneet Issar delivering powerful performances as the villainous antagonist brothers.

With both films offering emotional depth, action, and star power, audiences can expect a thrilling cinematic showdown this September.
