Biju Patnaik Film & Television Institute to Host Nirmal Pandey Memorial Film Festival on August 9–10
Cuttack: The Biju Patnaik Film and Television Institute (BPFTI) in Cuttack will host the Nirmal Pandey Memorial Film Festival on August 9 and 10, in honor of the late actor Nirmal Pandey.
The two-day festival will celebrate both Odia cinema and Bollywood film personalities, presenting awards such as Lifetime Achievement, Best Iconic Director, Best Iconic Actor, and Best Iconic Actress.
Short films created by BPFTI students will be showcased and awarded in four categories: Best Film, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Sound Design.

This year’s festival will see the presence of Bollywood actors Gulshan Grover, Ashish Vidyarthi, Govind Namdev, Asif Sheikh, and Asim Bajaj Makar, according to festival director Anil Dubey and coordinator Chandrashekhar Rath.
