Archita Sahu Starrer Biopic ‘Pade Akasha’ to Release on April 11

Bhubaneswar: The much-anticipated Odia movie Pade Akasha, starring Archita Sahu, is set to hit the big screens on April 11, 2025.

The biographical film, inspired by the life and work of Dr. Sruti Mohapatra, a trailblazer for the disabled community, will be released across cinema halls in the state. The film will coincide with the celebration of International Women’s Day, marking a significant milestone in empowering women and highlighting issues of accessibility for the disabled.

Directed by Susant Mani, Pade Akasha showcases the extraordinary journey of Dr. Sruti Mohapatra, who, from her wheelchair, revolutionized the world for the disabled. Archita Sahu plays the role of Dr. Mohapatra, bringing to life the story of a woman who defied all odds to make significant contributions to society.

The movie also stars Rajesh Jais, Hara Rath, Smita Mohanty, Mohan Majithia, Madhumita, and Bijaylaxmi, among others.

The screenplay is penned by Biplav Singh and Debidutta Mohanty, with music composed by Prem Anand and lyrics by Bijaya Malla.

A special screening of the film was recently held, where several stars and senior government officials lauded the film for its powerful message and emotional depth.
Produced by Litisha Mangat Panda under the banner of Tarang Cine Productions, *Pade Akasha* was earlier schedule to release on International Women’s Day, as it celebrates the strength, perseverance, and achievements of women, especially those with disabilities.
