Anubhav Mohanty’s suspense thriller ‘Chhaki Suna’ to premiere on Zee Sarthak on Diwali

Bhubaneswar: Adding to the festive entertainment for Odia viewers, popular television channel Zee Sarthak will telecast this year’s much-awaited suspense thriller ‘Chhaki Suna’, starring superstar Anubhav Mohanty, on the occasion of Diwali.

The film will be aired on November 8 (Sunday) at 5.30 pm, offering viewers an opportunity to enjoy the thriller with their families during the festival of lights. The film’s song ‘Balunga Toka’, sung by Anubhav Mohanty himself, had earlier gained considerable popularity.

Produced jointly by Amara Studio and SMA Entertainment Project 290 Lion Films, ‘Chhaki Shunya’ has been written and directed by Manas Padhiary. Anubhav Mohanty, Jagruti Shukla, Shubham Mohanty and Naveen Bhandari have jointly produced the film.

Besides Anubhav Mohanty, the film features Sambhabana Mohanty, Abhishek Panda, Divya Mohanty, Chaudhury Jayaprakash Das, Sukanta Rath, Sukumar Tudu, Nitu Singh, Bijinee Mishra, Udit Guru, Tapas Sargharia and Jitu Mangaraj in prominent roles.
The film transforms the childhood game of ‘Chhaki Suna’ (tic-tac-toe) into a terrifying psychological battle. Each victim holds a crucial piece of a larger mystery.

As the investigation progresses, the distinction between the hunter and the hunted becomes increasingly blurred, raising the possibility that the investigator himself could become the final player on the blood-soaked game board.

Speaking on the special Diwali telecast, Zee Sarthak channel head Rahul Rao said, “Diwali is a festival of sharing joy and happiness with family. On this auspicious occasion, we are presenting an exciting and distinctive Odia film, ‘Chhaki Suna’, as a special gift for our viewers. We urge everyone to watch the film with their families, enjoy the festive spirit and continue showering their love on Odia cinema.”
