‘Ananta’ Released in 40 cinema halls, Brought Tears to Audience’s Eyes

Bhubaneswar: Odia film Ananta, directed by Sabyasachi Mahapatra and Kumar C. Dev, based on the timeless story “Randi Pua Ananta” by the legendary poet and writer Fakir Mohan Senapati, has been released in 40 theatres across Odisha.

Set in a naturally beautiful and scenic backdrop, the film—rooted in a purely Odia narrative—has received overwhelming love from the audience.

Ananta has been produced by Naveen Bhandari, Suraj Mahnot, and Archita Sahu. The lead role of Ananta is portrayed by actor Sabyasachi Mishra, whose powerful and nuanced performance has deeply entertained viewers. The film also stars Surjyamayi Mahapatra, Kuna Tripathy, Tapas Sargharia, and Jyotirmayee Panda, along with many other talented actors.

The music has been composed by Abhijit Majumdar, while the cinematography has been done by Huetsang Mahapatra. This timeless story is expected to leave a strong social impact in today’s time—without a doubt. It also offers Odia cinema audiences a meaningful film to enjoy during the festive occasion of Raja.

Previously, director Sabyasachi Mahapatra has given the audience highly appreciated films like Sala Budha, Baya, Bou, Shree Jagannath, Bhukha, Jhili, Sala Budha Ra Adima Bichara, Pahadara Luha, and more.
