‘Ame Balunga Toka’ Anthem from ‘Chhaki Suna’ Released; Anubhav Mohanty Recreates His Iconic Hit
Bhubaneswar: The makers of upcoming Odia film Chhaki Suna have unveiled “Ame Balunga Toka”, touted as the film’s “most awaited anthem of the year,” bringing back the nostalgia of one of Odia cinema’s most popular songs.
Released as a high-energy promotional track from Chhaki Suna, “Ame Balunga Toka” features the powerful vocals of Odia superstar Anubhav Mohanty along with entertainer Papu Pom Pom.
Sharing the song, the makers described it as a track packed with “madness, swag and the vibe of the year,” promising music lovers a song that is set to dominate playlists and audiences alike.
The newly released anthem is a recreation of the iconic title track from the 2011 Odia blockbuster Balunga Toka, which played a major role in cementing Anubhav Mohanty’s mass appeal among fans.
The recreated version has lyrics by Pramod Parida and music by Baidyanath Dash, while the original Balunga Toka song was penned by Dr. Nirmal Nayak with music composed by Late Abhijit Majumdar.
Chhaki Suna has been generating steady buzz through a string of promotional releases. Earlier, the makers unveiled the teaser of the film, presenting a dark investigative thriller centred around murder, clues and dangerous mind games.
The production team has also introduced character posters and launched interactive audience engagement campaigns, including an online gaming challenge offering prizes to fans.
The film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on June 12, 2026, during the festive season of Raja festival.
Written and directed by Manas Padhiary, Chhaki Suna stars Anubhav Mohanty alongside Sambhabana Mohanty, Abhishek Panda, Divya Mohanty, Choudhury Jayaprakash Das, Sukumar Tudu, Udit Guru, Jitu Mangaraj and others.
The film is produced by Naveen Bhandari, Jagrati A. Mohanty, Suvam Mohanty and Suraj Mohnot under the banners of Amara Studios and Two Nine Films.
With nostalgia, star power and a fresh thriller narrative, Chhaki Suna continues to position itself as one of the most anticipated Odia films heading into Raja 2026.
