Bhubaneswar – The first song from the much-anticipated Odia film Chhi Re Nani, titled E Nani Bihari Pani, has been released on the Sidharth Music YouTube channel.
Sung by Kuldeep Pattanaik and Aseema Panda, the track is composed by Asad Nizam and is a modern recreation of the iconic Sambalpuri song of the same name, originally created by legendary composer and singer Satya Adhikari.
The original version, written, composed, and performed by Adhikari, is revered in Odisha’s musical heritage, with his famous track
Chi Chi Re Nani also serving as the inspiration behind the film’s title.
Chhi Re Nani marks the reunion of acclaimed director Susant Mani and veteran producer Sitaram Agrawal after an eight-year hiatus. Jointly produced by Sitaram Agrawal and Namita Agrawal, the film is scheduled for release during the auspicious Rath Yatra festival and is set to be the 45th production under the Sidharth Music banner.
The film stars Sailendra Samantaray, Sivani Sangita, and Dipanwit Das Mohapatra in lead roles. Sailendra, last seen in the action film Ghamaghot, will also appear in the upcoming romantic drama First Love opposite Dibya Mohanty. Dipanwit, praised for his work in Parab and the hit web series Gangs of Puri Season 2, adds further depth to the cast. Sivani Sangita, meanwhile, is preparing for major upcoming releases including Ganda Bhairav and Shree Jagannathanka Nabakalebara.
Chhi Re Nani promises to be a touching exploration of love, loss, and legacy, and signals a powerful creative reunion in Odia cinema.
