Bhubaneswar: The makers of the much-anticipated Odia film Raavan have unveiled three more pivotal characters, adding to the growing excitement surrounding one of the industry’s most ambitious projects.

Veteran actor Chittaranjan Tripathy has been introduced as Ratanlal with the intriguing tagline, “Behind bars… but never out of the game,” hinting at a powerful character whose influence extends far beyond prison walls.

The makers also revealed Sukumar Tudu as Kapila, describing him as “a man whose thirst for power outweighs every bond.” The accompanying line, “Blood makes them family. Choices make them enemies,” suggests that the film will explore themes of family, betrayal and the relentless pursuit of power.

Adding another layer to the narrative, Jitendra Ketan Mangaraj has been introduced as Dimba Kaka with the tagline, “He has witnessed the darkness, guarded the truth, and waited for destiny to awaken.” The makers further describe the character as “chosen by fate, not by blood,” indicating that he will play a crucial role in the story.

Raavan has emerged as one of the most talked-about upcoming Odia films in recent months. The film went on floors in October last year and has steadily generated buzz through a series of character introductions and production updates.

Directed by Sai Kiran Mangaraj, Raavan is written by Jagrati A. Mohanty and produced by Jagrati Mohanty under the banners of 29 Two Nine Films and Camera Queen Productions. The film’s music has been composed by the late Humane Sagar.

Earlier, the makers introduced superstar Anubhav Mohanty as Bheema, actress Sushmita as Nisha, and Suryamayee as Devika, each with distinctive first-look posters. With a strong ensemble cast and a steady stream of character reveals, Raavan continues to build anticipation as one of the most awaited Odia films.
