Three Films, One Festival: Sivani Sangita Set for a Rare Rath Yatra Triple Release

Bhubaneswar: This Rath Yatra is shaping up to be a landmark moment in the career of Ollywood actress Sivani Sangita. Coinciding with her birthday month, the actress is set for the rare distinction of having three films associated with her playing in theatres during Odisha’s biggest festival, making her one of the biggest attractions of the festive box office.

The highlight of the line-up is her two new releases—Ganda Bhairav and The Millet Diary—both scheduled to hit theatres on July 16, coinciding with the Rath Yatra celebrations. Adding to the festive buzz, her recently released family entertainer Bara Badhu is also set to return to cinemas through a special re-release during the festival.

The unique line-up will see Sivani Sangita appearing in three completely different films across genres, showcasing her versatility at a time when cinema halls traditionally witness one of their biggest footfalls of the year.

Among the new releases, The Millet Diary, directed by Rajendra Mohanta and produced under the Infyson Entertainment banner, explores Odisha’s rich millet heritage, Kabiraji healing traditions and the legacy of ancient Kalinga through a story that blends history, romance and culture.

The film features Sidhanta Mahapatra, Abhishek Panda, Sivani Sangita, Raj Rajesh and Sritam Das in pivotal roles, with its recently released trailer receiving an encouraging response.

Sharing the July 16 release date is Ganda Bhairav, an action drama adapted from Sankar Tripathy’s acclaimed Odia novel. Directed by Sudhanshu Mohan Sahoo, the film stars State Award-winning actor Devasis Patra alongside Sivani Sangita. Its recently released teaser has generated excitement with high-octane action sequences and promises to be one of the major commercial attractions of the festive season.

Meanwhile, Bara Badhu, which enjoyed a successful theatrical run earlier this year, is making a comeback to theatres during Rath Yatra, giving audiences another opportunity to watch the family entertainer on the big screen.
