Bhubaneswar: Continuing its strong run at the box office, Chhaki Suna, starring Odia superstar Anubhav Mohanty in the lead role, has successfully entered its second week in theatres with more than 150 shows running across Odisha.
The makers celebrated the milestone on social media, announcing that “Chhaki Suna roars into Week 2 with 150+ shows” and thanking audiences for their continued support.
Released on June 12 during Raja, the film has managed to sustain audience interest beyond its opening weekend, emerging as one of the notable Odia releases of the festive season.
Murder Mystery Thriller Draws Viewers
Directed by Manas Padhiary, Chhaki Suna revolves around a gripping murder investigation, with Anubhav Mohanty playing a central role in unraveling a complex web of secrets and clues. The film’s suspense-driven narrative and thriller elements have been among the key talking points for audiences.
Prior to its release, the film generated considerable buzz through a series of promotional campaigns. The makers unveiled multiple teasers, character posters and the anthem “Ame Balunga Toka,” a recreation of the iconic song from the 2011 blockbuster Balunga Toka.
An innovative online gaming campaign linked to the film also helped engage audiences before its theatrical release.
