Elina Samantaray Introduced as Fierce ‘Parimita Chowdhury’ in Shikar

Bhubaneswar: The makers of the upcoming Odia suspense thriller Shikar have unveiled the powerful character look of actress Elina Samantaray, introducing her as Parimita Chowdhury in the film.

Sharing the new reveal on social media, the makers described the character as fearless and determined, writing: “She fights with facts, stands with courage, and carries the weight of truth. Introducing Elina Samantaray as Parimita Chowdhury — fierce, fearless, and ready to shake the game.”

The first look hints at a strong and investigative character who could play a crucial role in unfolding the central mystery of the film. Elina’s intense appearance has already sparked excitement among fans, with many praising the fresh and serious avatar showcased in the poster.

Directed by Mrutyunjaya Sahoo and produced by Sachikanta Jena, Shikar is being made under the banner of Moon TV Movies in association with Sidharth Music. The story, screenplay, and dialogues have been penned by Priyabrata Panda.

The film stars Amlan Das, Elina Samantaray, Supriya Nayak, and Ankit in lead roles, supported by a large ensemble cast including Pradyumna Lenka, Prashant Patra, Tapas Saragharia, and others.

Earlier, the makers had released the first look of Amlan Das and Supriya Nayak, both of which generated considerable buzz across social media. Each reveal has hinted at layered characters and an emotionally charged thriller narrative.

Shikar revolves around a shocking family murder and the mystery behind it. As secrets unfold and characters become trapped in a web of betrayal, revenge, and deception, the story seeks to answer one haunting question — who is the real hunter and who is the prey?

The film had officially commenced with a grand muhurat ceremony at Balunkeshwar Temple earlier this year in the presence of the cast, crew, and members of the Odia film fraternity.

Music for the film has been composed by Baidhyanath Dash, choreography is by Amit Nayak, while cinematography is being handled by Pratap Raut.
Scheduled for release during the festive Raja Festival in 2026, Shikar is steadily emerging as one of the most anticipated upcoming films in Ollywood.
