New Delhi: The 69th National Film Awards ceremony was a grand celebration of outstanding achievements in Indian cinema, held at the prestigious Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi today, October 17.
The star-studded event honoured some of the most talented individuals in the film industry, including acclaimed actors Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon who jointly bagged Best Actress awards.
Expressing her gratitude, Kriti said, “I thank God and my fans for everything. My prayers have been answered. I hope this win inspires boys and girls who watch thousands of dreams and want to make them come true.”
Allu Arjun, the charismatic star of Pushpa: The Rise, was honoured with the Best Actor award, marking a historic moment as he became the first Telugu actor to receive this prestigious accolade.
The movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, directed by R Madhavan, was recognized as the Best Feature Film, while Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files received the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration.
The ceremony also featured an array of notable winners.
Significantly, the President conferred the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award to Ms Waheeda Rehman on the occasion.
