Bhubaneswar: The 11th Film Festival organized by the Odisha Cine Workers Association was held with grandeur at Jayadev Bhavan, Bhubaneswar Thursday.
The event was graced by several dignitaries including Shri Babu Singh, Hon’ble MLA of Ekamra-Bhubaneswar, Shri Dushmant Swain, MLA of Khandaapada, Shri Manoranjan Dan, MLA of Chikiti, BJP Khurda District President Bishwaranjan Barajena, actor Harihar Mahapatra, actress Ananya Mishra, music director Prashant Padhi, actress Pallabi Priya Darshani Nath, director Kunal Pattnayak, singer Soujanya Rath, actress Manisha Manjari Mishra, poet Dr. Arttatrana Sahu, social worker Shri Bijay Kumar Jena, Shri Hemant Kumar Samantaray, media planner Pranay Jethi, Ms. Laxmipriya Panda, and Dr. Bandana Harichandan.
The event’s welcome address was delivered by the association’s editor Dr. Purna Chandra Behera. A poetry compilation titled “Prema Mandakini” by poet Neelamani Sethi was unveiled by Megh Mahlar Publications.
Around 150 artists from various districts of Odisha — including Kalahandi, Balangir, Boudh, Phulbani, Koraput, Malkangiri, Khurda, Puri, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, and Dhenkanal — were felicitated for their excellence in different fields.
Notable honorees included Aarti Behera as the Best Teacher, Jitendra Kumar Sahu and Saroj Kumar Muduli as Best Journalists, and Bijay Kumar Jena as an outstanding social worker.
The event was successfully coordinated and managed by volunteers Om Prakash Mahadev, Chandan Bishwal, Shibun, Bikash, and Neelamadhab, with overall coordination by Dr. Rinabala Sahu.
