Young actress Ankita Dash wants to do a strong female-centric role

Ankita said that she wants to work with good directors such as Ashok Pati, Vishal Mourya, Prithvi Raj Patnaik,Tapas Sargahria and many others.

Young and talented actress Ankita Dash started her career in 2015 by winning a reality show, Mitha Mitha Jodi, at Colors Odia and got her first movie, Mitha Mitha, in 2017 opposite Jyoti Ranjan Nayak, who also won the show with her.

After that, she did some more movies such as Mana Khali Tate Chahen I, Tume Mo Sankha Tume Mo Sindura and now is ready with her new movie Mo Kahanire Tori Naa with choreographer and actor Lubun, who also directed the movie. The movie is produced under Titly Productions in association with LT Production.

Talking to Odia Celebrity, Ankita said she had worked with Lubun on multiple music video albums, so he selected her for the movie. Born in Bhubaneswar, Ankita always wanted to be a part of the movie industry. During her college days, she entered the reality show Mith Mitha Jodi, a reality show of Colors Odia with a unique concept where new faces were searched from the crowd. The lead pair of a new movie were auditioned and selected for the movie, which she and Jyoti Ranjan Nayak won and thus got her first role.

Talking about her new movie, Ankita said, “I am playing a college girl character, Titli who is a very independent and confident girl.” About the experience of working with Lubun, who along with his brother, is popularly known as Lubun Tubun and is a very popular choreographer, she said that he had given her very good tips in acting and dancing, which helped her in developing into a good actor.

A trained Odissi Dancer, Ankita said that she wants to work with good directors such as Ashok Pati, Vishal Mourya, Prithvi Raj Patnaik, Tapas Sargahria and many others.

About the roles she wanted to do, she said that she wanted to do content-based and female-centric movies that give a message to society.

Ankita has several projects she doesn’t want to discuss at present but said she is excited about the roles.
