Teaser for Odia Film Delivery Boy 2 to Drop This Sunday; Release Set for August 27

Bhubaneswar: The makers of Delivery Boy 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2023 Odia hit Delivery Boy, have announced that the teaser of the film will be unveiled this Sunday.

Produced by Jyoti Ranjan Mohanty under the banner of Aswin Tripathy Films and presented by Infyson Entertainment, the film is slated to hit theatres on August 27, coinciding with Ganesh Puja celebrations.

In a statement, the makers teased, “A delivery is scheduled this Ganesh Puja — But this time… it’s not just a boy, it’s a storm! Delivery Boy 2 – Releasing on 27th August. Teaser Dropping this Sunday.”

Directed by Aswin Tripathy, the sequel brings back popular actors Sailendra Samantaray and Buddhaditya Mohanty, reprising their roles from the original. The biggest new addition to the cast is acclaimed Odia actress Archita Sahu, who joins the franchise as Pallavi.

The first look of Archita Sahu was unveiled on her birthday, adding to the excitement among fans. Sharing the poster, the production team wrote:

“The wait is over. This time, not one, but TWO Delivery Persons are here. Sailendra & Archita (as Pallavi) are ready to deliver surprises. On this special day, Happy Birthday Archita!”

Earlier, first look posters of Sailendra and Buddhaditya were also released, confirming their return to the emotional drama that struck a chord with Odia audiences in 2023.

The original Delivery Boy, released on April 7, 2023, told the poignant story of a young delivery boy navigating emotional and physical challenges in his everyday life. It starred Buddhaditya Mohanty, Sailendra Samantaray, Suryamayee, Priyambada, Shanti Baral, and Chaudhary Bikash Das.

With filming reportedly wrapped up, Delivery Boy 2 promises a fresh storyline, deeper emotional layers, and a more intense narrative. Fans of the original film can expect a gripping sequel with powerful performances and new surprises.
