Swaraj Promotes Pratha in Berhampur


Actor Swaraj  Barik visited Berhampur Tuesday for the promotion of his upcoming film, Pratha. The actor looked dashing in white shirt. He visited Govt ITI institute, Kholikote Unitary University and Berhampur University and interacted with students.

Directed by K Murali Krishna, the film trailer and music was released by makers earlier. The movie is set to release on September 15 on Ganesh Puja .

The film showcases the story of an orthodox village in Odisha where following traditional culture is often sacrosanct. The reel life depicts how these age-old practices define the movie’s main characters. Pratha features actor Swaraj Barik, Sheetal Patra and Simran Kaur in lead roles.


The movie is directed by K Murali Krishna and produced by Sanlisa Patel who is debuting as producer with this movie. The movie is presented by her production house Sanlisa Signature Films. Fans will see see romantic hero Swaraj in a different role in the movie.

Simran Kaur is known for giving voice to the cartoon character Nobita in the famous cartoon show Doremon. Other notable roles in the film were played by Chaudhary Bikash Dash, Bobby Mishra, Yash Ahlawat, Ashu Sharma, Rabi Mishra, Satish Patel, Ilu Banerjee and others.

In the movie, several actors of Punjab and Delhi have also worked. The movie’s shooting was undertaken in several pockets of Odisha, including Koraput, Similiguda, Kotia, and Deomali. Some parts of the shooting were also done outside too like in states like Chandigarh, Haryana, Jaipur and New Delhi. The promotion is being handled by Creative Head and Media Planner Pranay Jethi, who said that movie would be released in Hindi and Punjabi language apart from Odisha
