Swapna Priyadarshini Set for Telugu Debut with ‘Chandrayaan’

Bhubaneswar: Odia actress Swapna Priyadarshini is set to make her Telugu film debut with the upcoming movie ‘Chandrayaan’, marking a new chapter in her acting career. The actress unveiled the motion poster of the film on social media, calling the project a special milestone as it is her first Telugu movie.

“Firsts are always special! Here comes the motion poster of my first ever Telugu movie,” Swapna wrote while sharing the motion poster.

The film is written and directed by Srinath Chandrashekhar and produced by Praveen Molaka. Srinivasa B is the director of photography, while the music has been composed by Harsha Pravin. PR Teja Dasari serves as the editor and Kasarla Shyam is the lyricist.

The Telugu venture comes at an interesting point in Swapna’s career, with the actress currently associated with several projects in the Odia film industry as well.

Swapna recently featured in the dance number ‘Rohi Sala Sala’ from the upcoming Odia action film ‘Monster – The Ultimate’, marking her first-ever dance number. Sharing her excitement after the song’s release, she had described the opportunity as the fulfilment of a long-cherished dream.

Directed by Sudhanshu Mohan Sahoo, Monster – The Ultimate stars Aaditya Mohapatra, Dibyajyoti Tripathy, Mahasweta Ray, Krishna Kar, Swapna Priyadarshini, Rajj Rajesh, Choudhury Jayprakash Das, Mithi and Aakash Rout. The film is produced by Debraj Bidhar, with Anima Mohapatra as co-producer, and is scheduled to arrive in cinemas during Dussehra 2026.

Swapna is also known for her work in Odia films such as ‘Love in London’ and ‘Gote Raja Thila’. She will next be seen opposite Swaraj Barik in the upcoming Odia film ‘Swag Raja’.
With Chandrayaan, Monster – The Ultimate and Swag Raja in her line-up, Swapna Priyadarshini is expanding her presence beyond Odia cinema and stepping into the Telugu film industry with her debut.
