Special screening of Odia movie Mindgame held for Odisha Police

Bhubaneswar; Ahead of its release the makers of Odia crime thriller Mindgame organised a special screening of the Odisha police personnel at Stutee cinema hall Wednesday. At the special screening Crime Branch Additional DG Arun Bothra and DGP Sunil Bansal were present along with actor Manoj Mishra, producer Sridhar Martha, director Rajesh Touchriver and others.


The movie inspired by the incident of 2018’s sensational Patnagarh parcel bomb case in Bolangir district, will be releasing across the state on October 6.

Inspired from a shockingly true incident of Hate and Revenge, the film is an investigative thriller that explores the mind-set of a criminal hiding in plain sight. A newly married couple receives a gift box five days after their wedding, their happiness turns short lived when the gift turns out to be a bomb that kills the husband and his grandmother and seriously injuring the wife. A massive investigation begins to find the killer.

The movie stars Bollywood actor Atul Kulkarni, Yashpal Sharma, Odia actor Manoj Mishra, Anu Choudhury, Tanikella Bharani, Chinmay Mishra, Apsara Rani, Pushpa Panda, Shiju, Sanju Sivaram, Ishika Singh and Chitta Ranjan Mishra.

The film—which was first titled ‘Patnagarh’ in 2018 was not getting released so far due to objection of people involved in the case, although the makers had claimed it to be a piece of fiction.

It has been directed by award-winning filmmaker, Rajesh Touchriver and produced by Sridhar Maartha. The movie will released in Odia, Telugu, Hindi and Sambalpuri.
Media planer Pranay Jethi who will manage the promotion of the movie said the movie will be like by audience as it has good story and good performance of actors.
