Shreyan aims to do more versatile role
New age actor Shreyan will be seen as an army officer in a new Odia movie Operation 12/17 which will be releasing in January next year. The movie has been directed by Sudhanshu Mohan Sahoo. Actress Bhoomika Dash is working opposite Shreyan in the movie playing the role of a mother in the movie.
Talking to Odia Celebrity, Shreyan who had started his career in 2019 with Selfish Dil, directed by Basanta Sahoo, said, “Working in this movie was a great opportunity for me and I am thankful to makers and director Sudhanshu for trusting me for this role. In this movie, I am playing the role of an army Jawan and it’s a story of army personnel and their families”
About Bhoomika, he said, “She is a wonderful actor and had done a great work in this movie. Playing a role of a mother is not an easy job. Many actresses are reluctant to do this role at this age but she didn’t hesitate to do the role and played it with all positivity”
Sharing his experience of working with director Sudhanhu, he said “ He is a veteran and experience director and made lot of actor stars and I learned a lot from him. I will be thankful to him for trusting me with this role.”
About his character, Shreyan said “It’s a very challenging role as the character has a lot of shades and through this role I had to showcase a different personality”
“For this movie, I have done training by watching a lot of movies and also trained to portray the role of an army personnel. We also shot this movie in Kashmir which will be a unique experience for the audience”
Becoming an actor was not an option for Shreyan from the beginning , he was studying engineering at CV Raman institute when he watched a play which created interest in acting. After that he studied filmmaking and was doing theatre in New Delhi, he also did multiple theatres in Bhubaneswar.
After that director Basant Sahoo met him and groomed him and later gave him a chance in his debut movie Selfish Dil.
About his journey, he said “ I am still in the struggling and learning phase. My main aim is to do a more versatile role and want to work with a good director like Sudhnashu sir”
About his family, he said” At the beginning they were a little skeptical about my decision of becoming an actor but later they supported my decision.”
