Shehzada box office Day 9: Kartik Aaryan’s film hardly earns any money

Upcoming star Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada was released on Feb 17 and witnessed a lukewarm response at the indian box office. The film released along the success of Pathaan but failed to pick speed in the past week. Early estimates suggest that the Rohit Dhawan directorial failed to create magic on its second weekend.

The film collected Rs 40 lakh at the box office on February 24. Its occupancy was around 9% in the night shows. The total collection stands at around Rs 27 crore. The film faced competition from Pathaan, Hollywood film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and now Selfiee. Early estimates suggest that the film couldn’t touch Rs 1 crore and minted Rs 0.70 crore on its second Saturday.

Shehzada is bankrolled by Kartik Aaryan, Bhushan Kumar, Allu Arvind, and Aman Gill, has music by Pritam. Shehzada marks the return of Kartik Aaryan to the big screen after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, directed by Anees Bazmee, which emerged as a blockbuster. The action film is directed by Rohit Dhawan and co-produced by T-Series Films, Haarika & Hassine Creations, Geetha Arts, and Brat Films. Shehzada features Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Rajpal Yadav, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar.

The storyline of the film follows a young man named Bantu who is hated and neglected by his father ever since he was a toddler. His world is turned upside down when he learns that he was switched at birth with a millionaire’s son. He is, in fact, the biological son of a millionaire industrialist.
