Rajkumar Santoshi blames Salman Khan and Aamir Khan for Andaz Apna Apna box office failure

Bollywood Director Rajkumar Santoshi had made a comedy film in 1994 titled Andaz Apna Apna which had failed to garner audiences’ love and warmth.

The film though, still remains one of the most loved and entertaining films in Bollywood. It had attained a cult status over the years with many who continue to watch it as a guilty pleasure!.

Reportedly Director Rajkumar Santoshi has blamed Salman and Aamir for the box office failure of Andaz Apna Apna.

Santoshi lamented that both Salman and Aamir were unavailable for the film’s promotions. He said that people did not notice the film because Salman had at the time given his first film Maine Pyar Kiya.

The filmmaker said that Andaz Apna Apna was a completely different story with more comedy, adventure, and humour than romance. When it was released 29 years ago, the distributors were also newcomers.

It was a unique film and people took time to understand, said Santoshi.
