‘Raavan’ Back on Track: Shooting to Begin in October with New Director

Bhubaneswar: Anubhav Mohanty’s ambitious film Raavan, which recently made headlines due to the exit of its original director, is now set to roll cameras this October. The makers confirmed that the much-awaited project is back on track with a new directorial lead.

The film will now be helmed by Biren Jyoti Mohanty, while production responsibilities will be shared by Jagruti Mohanty and Himadri Tanaya Das. The project is a joint venture between 29 Two Nine Films and Camera Queen Productions.

Earlier, the buzz around Raavan intensified after reports surfaced about the departure of Anupam Patnaik from the director’s chair. However, with the latest announcement, the team aims to steer the film toward a grand release.

Meanwhile, Anubhav Mohanty, the superstar of Odia cinema, will have an exceptionally busy schedule ahead. Several big projects featuring him, including Bande Utkal Janani, Charidham, and Chhaki Suna, have been announced recently, promising a packed calendar for the actor.

Further details about the cast and storyline of Raavan are expected to be revealed soon as the shooting schedule nears.
