Raajj Rajesh Calls The Millet Diary the Most Unforgettable Journey of His Career

Bhubaneswar:Odia actor Raajj Rajesh has described his experience of working in The Millet Diary as the “most unforgettable journey” of his acting career, sharing an emotional note of gratitude after the film’s successful release during Rath Yatra.
Sharing an emotional note on social media, the actor wrote, “The unforgettable journey of my life – The Millet Diary,” while thanking producer Er. J.R. Mohanty, director Rajendra Mohanta, cinematographer Ishwar, and the entire camera and lighting department. Raj Rajesh said he was “really grateful” to the makers for choosing him for the film and credited the technical team for making his screen appearance “mesmerizing.”
Raj Rajesh portrays the role of a Maharaja in the film, a performance that has drawn appreciation from audiences following its theatrical release. His heartfelt message reflects the close bond shared by the cast and crew during the making of the film.
The post comes days after Raj Rajesh acknowledged the appreciation he received for portraying the Maharaja in the film. Sharing a photograph from the sets, he had written, “From the sets of ‘The Millet Diary’. Thank you so much people for sharing your love for the MAHARAJA,” expressing gratitude to audiences for embracing his character.
The Millet Diary, directed by Rajendra Mohanta and produced under the Infyson Entertainment banner, is a socially relevant Odia film inspired by Odisha’s cultural heritage and the historical significance of millets. Blending history, indigenous medicinal knowledge, and an emotional love story, the film highlights the legacy of Kalinga’s traditional Kabiraji healing practices while showcasing the importance of millet as a symbol of resilience and civilisation.
The film features an ensemble cast including Sidhant Mohapatra, Sritam Das, Sivani Sangita, Abhishek R. Panda, Kuna Tripathy, Shakti Baral, Sushant Dash Mahapatra, Revansh Mohanty, Kanchan, Rajashree, Deepak, Devika and Shreya, alongside Raj Rajesh.
The film has been released in 45 theatres across Odisha, with nearly 90 social media influencers joining its promotional campaign to encourage audiences to support the homegrown production. The makers describe The Millet Diary as more than just a film, calling it a tribute to Odisha’s history, culture and the enduring legacy of millet as Shree Anna.
Raj Rajesh has steadily built his career in the Odia entertainment industry through films, television serials and digital projects. Beginning his journey as a dancer before turning to acting, he has appeared in films such as Chakhyu Bandhan, Ea Bi Gote Love Story, Durga and Chandrabanshi, earning recognition as one of the familiar faces of contemporary Odia cinema.
