Bhubaneswar: The Hindi film Ajey (The Untold Story of a Yogi), based on the life journey of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is all set for an all-India release on September 19. A press conference was held at Empires Hotel, Bhubaneswar, to share insights about the film and its significance.
Ollywood star Bobby Mishra, Padodak Samal, and media planner–creative head Pranay Jethi attended the event. Mishra, one of the leading faces of the Odia film industry, has extended his support to the project, describing it as a step toward cultural exchange between regional cinema and Bollywood.
Directed with inspiration from Shantanu Gupta’s bestselling book The Monk Who Became Chief Minister, the film traces Yogi’s remarkable journey — from a simple childhood to years of struggle, and ultimately his rise as a saint and a Chief Minister. The makers believe the movie’s storyline will inspire today’s youth with lessons of determination, discipline, and leadership.
Speaking at the event, Bobby Mishra said that such collaborations between Odia and Hindi film industries will strengthen bonds across states and create opportunities for cultural exchange.
With its unique storyline and a narrative rooted in the life of a saint-turned-leader, Ajeya is expected to leave a strong impression on audiences when it hits theatres nationwide on September 19.
