Odisha’s Jitendra Mishra selected as jury member for international film festival

In a proud moment for the state, Odisha-born filmmaker Jitendra Mishra has been selected as a jury member for multiple international film festivals and forums in September 2023.

He will participate as a juror for two major sections of the renowned 28th Schlingel International Film Festival in Germany, scheduled for September 23, and for Animasyros, a leading film festival in Syros, Iceland Greece, set to take place from September 26.

Hailing from Titlagarh of Odisha, Jitendra is among the few Indian film producers and promoters who have achieved international recognition for their contributions and has been involved in the production, distribution, and promotion of over 110 films in various categories and capacities, many of which have garnered worldwide acclaim.

Expressing his gratitude over the development, he said, “I am honoured to have received the invitations from such credible international events. As a jury member, I have been privileged enough to get opportunities to watch the latest, unreleased, or recently released films from across the globe which gives me learning experiences as a filmmaker.”

Mishra has been a member of the Cannes Producers Network and has been invited as a jury member to more than 50 different international film festivals in the past.
