Odia Film ‘Pabar’ to Stream on AAO Nxt from April 23

Bhubaneswar: After a successful theatrical run and major wins at the Tarang Cine Utsav, Pabar—starring Babushaan Mohanty and Elina Samantaray—will premiere on AAO Nxt on April 23. Released in cinemas on July 12, 2024, the film earned over Rs 1.7 crore and tells the Story of Benudhar Kandi who gets pulled into local politics.

Directed by Ashok Pati and produced by Tripti Satpathy, with a script by Amit Kumar Dash and Pranab Rath, the movie features a strong supporting cast including Choudhury Jayprakash Das, Ravi Mishra, Krishna Kar, and Udit Guru. This marks another successful collaboration between Babushaan and Ashok Pati.

AAO Nxt, known for its commitment to showcasing quality Odia content, continues to strengthen its presence in regional OTT space. After producing acclaimed titles like Ghamaghot and Jajabara 2.0, the platform has also brought several of Babushaan Mohanty’s popular films to digital audiences, including Dasama, Daman (a National Award winner), and the recent hit Malayagiri. With Pabar joining the lineup, AAO Nxt reaffirms its role in promoting impactful storytelling from Odisha.
