Bhubaneswar: The makers of the upcoming Odia film ‘Bara Badhu’ have announced that the movie will be released in cinema halls across Odisha on February 13, coinciding with the Valentine’s Day weekend. The release date was officially revealed on Wednesday with the launch of the film’s poster on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.
Sharing their excitement, the makers said, “On this auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, our new journey begins.” The poster hints at a story rooted in love, traditions, and emotions, setting the tone for a meaningful cinematic experience.”
‘Bara Badhu’ features an ensemble cast including Subhasis Sharma, Sailendra Samantaray, Suryamayee Mohapatra, Sivani Sangita, Jayshree Sarangi, and Hara Rath, among others.
The film is produced under the banner of The Useful Garbage Creations, in association with Country Boyz Studios and Sharpline Film Pvt. Ltd., and is presented by Chandra Mani. It will be released by Prakash Films.
Directed by Beeswaranjan and Produced by Chandra Mani, the project is co-produced by Beeswaranjan and Sushil Kumar Mishra.
The technical crew includes Bljitesh Dey as cinematographer, Beeswaranjan handling story, screenplay, and dialogues, music composed by Gaurav Anand and Bharat–Hitarth, editing by Dipika Kalra, and sound design by Nihar Samal.
With its Valentine’s Day release, ‘Bara Badhu’ is expected to strike a chord with audiences by blending romance with Odia culture and traditions.
