New Office Bearers Elected for Odisha Film Distribution Society After 14 Years

Bhubanweswar: After a long gap of 14 years, elections were held at UCCC campus, Tala Telenga Bazar, Cuttack, for the Odisha Film Distribution Society. In the initial phase, the following were unanimously elected: Ashok Kumar Nanda as President, Srikant Das (Dipuu) as Vice President, Debasish Mohanty as Joint Secretary, and Sridhar Martha as Treasurer.

In the next phase, there was a contest for the position of Secretary between Jitu Khandelwal and Sachikanta Jena, with Sachikanta Jena emerging victorious.

The members elected to the Executive Committee include Purnachandra Dash, Prashant Behera, Manoj Kumar Mishra, Atish Kumar Raut, Pradeepta Prakash Acharya, and Chakradhar Ghadei.

After being elected as Secretary, Sachikanta Jena assured that he would focus on resolving the pending issues of the society that have remained stalled for the past 14 years.

He stated that ensuring transparency in distribution, fostering brotherhood, and establishing strong relationships will be his top priorities. With the cooperation of society members, he promised to work towards the revival of UCCC and make efforts to bring national and international recognition to the society.
