Bhubaneswar: New-age actor Rohan Garg started his career in Odia movies last year with Love Impossible. He gave a good performance in his second movie, Dotpen, and is ready with his third movie, Akashvani, which will be released on February 16.
Talking to Odia Celebrity, Rohan said that the new movie is different from other romantic movies; it is a family drama. The movie will be released on Valentine’s week (February 16). The movie’s teaser showcases the long family battle between the Patnaik and Samantaray families and how Rohan and Puja’s characters fall in love amidst this family battle. Tripati Sahu directed the movie. Sahu also directed Rohan’s first movie.
Rohan is also becoming a producer with this movie directed by his first director, Tripati Sahu. “I decided to produce because no one was ready to produce the movie. As the movie is directed by Tripathy sir, who gave me my first break, I loved the story, so I decided to be the producer, and with the help of my father, began the movie,” he said.
Talking about his experience as a first-time producer, Rohan said,” It’s very hectic. Thanks to my father’s help, I can focus on the acting aspect of the movie more.” Talking about the director, Rohan said that he is his Guru and that whatever he learned about acting and filmmaking is from him, and when he came to him with the story, he instantly knew that it would be a good movie for him.
Regarding his chemistry with actress Purnima in the movie, Rohan said, “I am happy that the audience is loving the chemistry.”
About his journey so far, Rohan said, “My aim is always to do different roles in every movie and not to do the same type of roles.”
Born in Bolangir, Rohan’s parents, especially his father, wanted him to become an actor, and so after completing his studies, he went to Mumbai for an acting course and thus started his journey.
Rohan, for now, is busy promoting the movie, which will be released on Valentine’s Day. The movie songs are doing well on the social media too.
