Multilingual movie ‘Pratha’ to release on Ganesh Puja

The multilingual flick Pratha is set to be released across Odiisha on September 15 on the occasion of Ganesh Puja this year.

The movie will also be released in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana later in addition to its release in Odisha. The first look will be released on August 21 said Pranay Jethi creative head of the movie.

The film showcases the story of an orthodox village in Odisha where following traditional culture is often sacrosanct. The reel life depicts how these age-old practices define the movie’s main characters. Pratha features actor Swaraj Barik, Sheetal Patra and Simran Kaur in lead roles. The movie is directed by K Murali Krishna. The movie is meanwhile presented by Sanlisa Signature Films. Fans will see see romantic hero Swaraj in a different role in the movie.

Simran Kaur is known for giving voice to the cartoon character Nobita in the famous cartoon show Doremon. Other notable roles in the film were played by Chaudhary Bikash Dash, Bobby Mishra, Yash Ahlawat, Ashu Sharma, Rabi Mishra, Satish Patel, Ilu Banerjee and others.

In the movie, several actors of Punjab and Delhi have also worked. The movie’s shooting was undertaken in several pockets of Odisha, including Koraput, Similiguda, Kotia, and Deomali. Some parts of the shooting were also done outside too like in states like Chandigarh, Haryana, Jaipur and New Delhi. The promotion is being handled by Creative Head and Media Planner Pranay Jethi, who said that movie would be released in Hindi and Punjabi language apart from Odisa
