Mihir Das’ Younger Son Aklant Passes Away

Late Actor Mihir Das youngest son Aklant Das passed away late Tuesday night. He was undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar for the last one month for liver related ailments.

As per initial reports, Aklant last rites will be performed at Sati Choura crematorium in Cuttack Wednesday.

Earlier, Aklant’s father and veteran actor Mihir Das had passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack last year. The actor was suffering from Kidney ailments. Aklant was undergoing treatment and was in ICU for last few days. At 9pm Tuesday his health deteriorated and few hours late he passed away.

Aklant’s elder brother and actor Amlan Das was in Balugaon shooting for his new movie.

Aklant’s last rites will be performed at Sati Choura crematorium where Mihir Das cremation was also done last year.

Veteran actor Mihir Das died on January 11, 2022. He passed away at the age of 63 years while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Cuttack. His last rites had been conducted with full State honors, and his death had been condoled by many notable personalities including CM of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, Governor of Odisha, Ganeshi Lal, as well as Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
