Bhubaneswar: The Mayurbhanj Cultural Association, Bhubaneswar, is set to organise the historic Mayurbhanj Utsav 2026 from January 30 to February 1 at Utkal Mandap, Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya Campus, Sachivalay Marg, Bhubaneswar.
Emanating from the picturesque north-eastern corner of Odisha, Mayurbhanj Utsav has grown into a vibrant cultural platform that embraces the spirit of the entire state. The three-day festival brings together people from Mayurbhanj residing in and around the capital city, fostering cultural bonding and lively interaction on a common platform.
A key highlight of the Utsav is its focus on nurturing young and emerging talent from remote regions of Mayurbhanj, offering them a prestigious stage to showcase their artistic skills. The festival also features performances by eminent and celebrated dancers, musicians, singers, actors, and literary personalities of Odisha, adding grandeur and diversity to the cultural celebrations.
The audience will be treated to spellbinding performances of the world-famous Mayurbhanj Chau Dance, along with Jhumar, folk and tribal dances, and modern contemporary presentations. These cultural extravaganzas will unfold on a grandly decorated stage over three vibrant evenings, promising a visual and artistic delight.
Beyond performances, visitors can savour the authentic flavours of Mayurbhanj, including delicacies such as Muddhi-Mansa, Dala Khechudi, Ram Ruchuka Curry, and other mouth-watering traditional dishes.
