Bhubaneswar: The much-anticipated Odia film Mantra Muugdha has officially kicked off its second shooting schedule in Aska. Sharing behind-the-scenes photos, director Anupam Pattnaik expressed his excitement, saying, “With hearts full of fire and frames bursting with life, the second schedule of Mantra Muugdha roars to life! The energy is electric, the team unstoppable – can’t wait for this vision to light up the silver screen.”
Earlier, on the auspicious occasion of Rakhi Purnima, the team marked the start of this schedule with a Sunderkand Puja, seeking blessings from fans and well-wishers.
In a major development, Amiya Patnaik Productions has joined hands with Tarang Music for the film, with Tarang acquiring all rights. Billed as the biggest entertainer of 2025, Mantra Muugdha promises to be a romantic comedy with a twist, blending humor, romance, and a socially relevant message.
The film, directed by Anupam Pattnaik and produced by Barsha Pattnaik under Amiya Patnaik Productions, recently wrapped its first vibrant shooting schedule in Bhubaneswar, which included popular city spots such as Symphony Mall and a spiritual visit to Puri for Lord Jagannath’s blessings.
Mantra Muugdha marks the first collaboration between acclaimed actress Bhoomika Dash and the production house. The star cast also features Suryamayee Mohapatra, Sanoj Kumar, and Manmay Dee — reuniting from Karma — alongside debutant Sarthak Bharadwaj. Supporting roles are played by Dipanwita Dasmahapatra (Pratiksha), Har Ratha, Chaudhary Jayaprakash Das, Nishant Majithia, Soma Hota, Bhakti Das, television actress Pihu Mohapatra, and digital creator Mr. Raut.
Behind the camera, the crew includes cinematographer Deepak Kumar, editor Rashmi Ranjan Das, sound designer Shakti Swaroop Dwivedi, and sync sound by Chandrasekhar Sharma. The story is co-written by Anupam Pattnaik and Roshan Bishoi, with screenplay by Rohit Gehlot and Anupam, and dialogues by Pranab Rath with Nishant Majithia’s input.
In a first for Odia cinema, the soundtrack will feature five music directors — Ashish Pradhan, Anurag Pattnaik, Sangeet Pattnaik, Anurag Panda, and Raumy Raj Pradhan — collaborating to create a rich, multi-layered score.
Reflecting on the journey, Anupam Pattnaik said, “We’ve always received immense love and Lord Jagannath’s blessings. From Pratiksha to Gangs of Puri Season 2, audiences have stood by us. I believe Mantra Muugdha will win the same affection and leave everyone truly spellbound.”
With filming in full swing, Mantra Muugdha is shaping up to be one of the most awaited Odia films of the year.
