Manoj Bajpayee says Ram Gopal Varma gave him ‘gaali’ for doing the remixed version of ‘Sapne mein milte hai’ from ‘Satya’
Bollywood star Manoj Bajpayee enjoys a cult status within the industry today owing to his terrific work in films like ‘Satya’, ‘Aks’, ‘Aligarh’ amidst a long list of movies and series like The Family Man.
The actor was recently last seen in ‘Gulmohar’ along with Sharmila Tagore which released on OTT recently. Bajpayee has done many movies with maverick director Ram Gopal Varma and in a recent interview he admitted that he owes his career to RGV.
Manoj and Ram Gopal Varma have worked together in films like ‘Satya’, ‘Kaun’, ‘Shool’ among others. He had also won his first national award for the ‘Best Actor In A Supporting Role’ for ‘Satya’.
In a recent interview, Bajpayee admitted that they talk to each other quite often and the director can also call him sometimes to give him ‘gaalis’.
Recently, the iconic song, ‘Sapne Mein Milti Hai’ was remade and it also featured Manoj in a cameo.
The song starred Dhvani Bhanushali and Abhimanyu Dassani. Manoj laughed and said that sometimes you do things for friends, just out of good gesture and that’s why he did that song but RGV called him and scolded for it.
