Bhubaneswar: New odia movie Ashram starring Mahasweta Ray, Suryamayee Mohapatra, Abhishek Giri, released in cinema halls across the state on Friday.
A special premiere was organised at City based PVR cinema hall in Bhubaneswar where stars of the movie were present including veteran actress Maheswata Ray.
Odia audience after a long time will see veteran actor Mahasweta Ray in a New odia movie Ashram.
The movie is directed by Sudhanshu Mohan Sahoo and produced by Tapan Dash. The story is written by Nityananda Nandi and dialogues and screenplay written by Dilip Chaudhury.
The Aneesh Entertainment presented movie Ashram is a story of senior IAS officer played by Mahasweta Ray and film showcase her journey in flash black.
The film also stars Suryamayee Mohapatra who plays the younger version of Mahasweta Ray character and Abhishek Giri.
The music of the movie was launched recently. The music director of the movie is Abhijit Majumdar.
Director Sudhanshu Mohan Sahoo said that the movie is the story of a senior IAS officer played by Mahasweta Ray who retired from her job after serving many years and how she looks at her life through flashbacks and also her current life Post retirement where she is lonely.
Suryamayee said Ashram belongs to Mahasweta Ray mam. Like me there are 1000 of people who admire her nd missing her on silver screen. After many years they ll get to see her.I Have played her younger portion
She also thanked Sudhanshu sir with whom she is working after 9 years.
