Jajpur: The grand inauguration of Connplex Cinemas at Utkal Center Point, Jajpur Road has brightened the future of film exhibition and movie culture in Eastern India. The cinema was inaugurated by Akash Das Nayak, MLA of Korei and a renowned actor in the Odia film industry. The Connplex team stated that this new facility promises to offer movie lovers in and around Jajpur an entirely new level of cinematic experience.
After achieving success across several Indian states and being honored as “India’s Best Cinema Chain” at the Big Cine Expo, Connplex continues to strengthen its pan-India presence. The launch in Jajpur marks an important step in its mission to bring smart luxury cinemas to emerging cities. This is Connplex’s second cinema in Odisha, and a major milestone in expanding its footprint across Eastern India.
The newly built three-screen Signature Cinema, with a total capacity of 208 guests, seamlessly blends modern architecture with comfortable design. Equipped with 2K projection, Dolby 7.1 surround sound, premium seating, curated interiors, and a specialized food menu, Connplex ensures a fully immersive cinematic experience for every visitor.
The presence of actor Shri Akash Das Nayak added a special charm to the event, infusing it with Odia culture and star power. Local dignitaries, film enthusiasts, and a large number of guests gathered to witness the opening of this new entertainment hotspot in Jajpur.

As part of the inaugural event, the first look of the song “Jalsa” from the upcoming Odia film Mantramugdha was unveiled, marking the official opening of Connplex Cinemas in Jajpur. The Mantramugdha team — including Suryamayee, Manomay, Sanoj, and Dipanwita — graced the occasion to promote the film.
