‘Lahari’ Trailer Launch Sets the Stage for an Emotional Journey

Bhubaneswar: After earning accolades at the Kolkata International Film Festival and the Melbourne Film Festival, Odia film ‘Lahari’ has unveiled its official trailer on Saturday. The film, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Amartya Bhattacharyya, is set for a theatrical release on September 12.

The trailer offers a glimpse into a deeply moving narrative centered on the bond between a father and son and the struggle to stay connected to one’s roots amidst changing times. Combining moments of joy and heartbreak, the film promises an emotional rollercoaster for audiences.

The film features music by Kishalay Roy, soulful vocals by Gaurav Anand and Navya Jayati, and sound design by Adip Singh Manik. Amartya Bhattacharyya has not only directed the film but also written the story, penned the songs, choreographed, and edited the project.The production has been undertaken by popular Odia actress and noted young producer Jhilik Bhattacharya under Jhilik Motion Pictures.

The cast includes Choudhury Jayaprakash Das, Choudhury Bikash Das, Smruti Mahala, Dipanwita Das Mahapatra, Sushanta Mishra, Har Rath, Prosenjit, Swastik Choudhury, and Zainab Dwyer in key roles.

With its thought-provoking theme and aesthetic storytelling, ‘Lahari’ is already creating buzz and is expected to be one of the most impactful Odia films of the year.
