Bhubaneswar: The first song from the upcoming Odia movie Mantra Muugdha, titled ‘Jalsa’, has struck a chord with audiences, crossing one million views on YouTube within days of its release.
Celebrating the milestone, the makers shared, “With 1 million views on YouTube, Jalsa just got louder! From our hearts to a million screens, Jalsa has left all of Odisha Mantramugdha with its beat. Thank you, everyone, for showering your love.”
Released under Amiya Patnaik Productions, Jalsa is a vibrant, high-energy dance number featuring Suryamayee Mohapatra, Manmay Dey, Sanoj Kumar, and Sarthak Bharadwaj. Composed by Ashish Pradhan and sung by Humane Sagar and Antara Chakraborty, the track premiered on Tarang Music’s YouTube channel and quickly became a sensation.
Described by the makers as “a track built to ignite every floor, fuel every workout, and turn every moment into a celebration,” the song marks an energetic start to the film’s musical journey.
Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Anupam Patnaik and produced by Barsha Pattnaik, Mantra Muugdha stars Bhoomika Dash in the lead alongside an ensemble cast including Dipanwit Das Mohapatra, Hara Rath, Chaudhary Jayaprakash Das, Nishant Majithia, Soma Hota, Bhakti Das, Pihu Mohapatra, and digital creator Mr. Raut.
The first shooting schedule, featuring Jalsa, was completed in Bhubaneswar, while the second is currently underway in Ganjam. The film also boasts a powerhouse crew with Deepak Kumar as cinematographer, Rashmi Ranjan Das as editor, Shakti Swaroop Dwivedi handling sound design, and Chandrasekhar Sharma managing sync sound.
Interestingly, Mantra Muugdha makes history in Odia cinema by bringing together five music directors—Ashish Pradhan, Anurag Pattnaik, Sangeet Pattnaik, Anurag Panda, and Raumy Raj Pradhan—to create a rich, multi-layered soundtrack that promises to redefine the musical landscape of the industry.
