Isha Talwar’s Look as Archana from New Odia Movie ‘Durga’ Revealed

Bhubaneswar: On Tuesday, Anasmish Productions unveiled the first look of Bollywood actress Isha Talwar, known for her role in Mirzapur, as Archana in the upcoming Odia film Durga. This film marks the fifth venture for the production house.

Durga will be Isha Talwar’s debut in the Odia film industry. The makers revealed her character’s look and name as Archana, stating, “This Ganesh Puja, as we celebrate new beginnings, join us in unveiling the teaser of DURGA—a film that honors the indomitable spirit of women. Prepare to witness the rise of strength, resilience, and empowerment like never before.”

Earlier, the makers had revealed the look of Poonam Mishra as the titular character, Durga. They also announced that the teaser of the movie will be released on September 7.

Isha Talwar is an Indian actress and model who primarily works in Malayalam and Hindi films, with appearances in Tamil and Telugu films as well. She began her career as a model, featuring in various commercials, before making her film debut with the 2012 Malayalam film Thattathin Marayathu. She gained recognition for her roles in the web series Mirzapur and Saas Bahu and Flamingo.

This project marks the second collaboration between Anasmish Productions and Sidharth Music. The film is set to release on Dussehra.

Durga is produced by Pritam Sahu and directed by Tapas Sargharia, who also wrote the story. The screenplay is by Suresh Patnaik, with dialogues penned by Antaryami Sargharia. Music for the film is composed by Abhijit Majumdar.

Anasmish Productions’ previous film, Chandrabanshi, was directed by Yash and Sunil. It presented a modernized version of the Mahabharata, centering around the powerful Chandrabanshi family. After a tragic event, the five brothers of the family become estranged, and over time, Dhruv, the loyal caretaker of the Chandrabanshi family, works to reunite them all.
