I have to keep proving myself: Alaya

Mumbai: Four years and counting, Alaya F is enjoying her run in front of the camera. The actress marked her debut on the big screen with Jawaani Jaaneman in 2020 and despite the pandemic playing spoilsport, Alaya transitioned to OTT and has got her name on some big hits.

Alaya, when asked if she still finds it difficult to get offers even after making debut four years ago, said, “More than the offers, I feel I have to consistently keep proving myself. For example, there’s a project I really want, I try to get a meeting with the director or the producer. I go to them and I say, ‘I want to do this. Tell me what I need to prove to you to get this project.’ I pursue filmmakers, am doing my auditions, a part which people don’t know maybe.”

Alaya is not too often seen partying like other star kids. On this she explained, “The thing is, when work comes, I have my blinders on and I don’t have the physical or mental capacity to go out. So when I’m actively working, I disappear.”

She went on to add, “I’m not averse to partying, just that I feel like everything in its right amount is always healthy and wonderful.”
