‘Gangs of Puri’ Season 2 Trailer Creates Buzz with Over 100K Views in Just Two Days

Bhubaneswar: The official trailer for Gangs of Puri Season 2, unveiled on April 15, has already stirred excitement, crossing over one lakh views on YouTube within just two days of its release. The makers celebrated the milestone by stating, “Trailer crossed 100K+ views in just 2 days. 100-100 grains on 23 April,” hinting at the explosive drama that awaits in the upcoming season.

The much-anticipated new chapter of the gritty underworld saga will premiere exclusively on the Kanccha Lannka platform on April 23. Set against the backdrop of 1990s Puri, the series continues to delve into the dark world of gang rivalries, territorial disputes, and power struggles that captivated audiences in its first installment.

A star-studded trailer launch event marked the occasion, with appearances from lead cast members Krishna Kar, Amaa, Chaudhury Jayprakash Das, Hara Rath, Rabi Mishra, Udit Guru, Dipanwit Das Mohapatra, Manmay De, Nishant Majhithia, and Ankita. Producers Barsha Patnaik and Anupam Patnaik, along with director Anupam Patnaik and Kanccha Lannka Chairman Akshaya Kumar Parija, were also present.

Season 2 promises a deeper dive into the chaotic world of Puri’s criminal underbelly. Viewers can expect heightened confrontations, shifting alliances, and new characters, as the storyline expands to explore the ambitions of a Bengali hotelier clashing with the local mafia kingpin, Babu Jena.

Joining the returning cast are newcomers Dipanwit Das Mohapatra, Nishant Majhithia, Soma Hota, Priyambada, and Manmay Dey, bringing fresh energy to the narrative.

Director Anupam Patnaik shared, “We have explored several new elements this season that we didn’t touch upon in the first one. There is a lot more to expect, both in terms of character arcs and the high-octane drama that defines the series.”

With a teaser that dropped on March 18 teasing explosive conflicts and emotionally charged moments, the anticipation is at an all-time high. *Gangs of Puri* continues to be a significant regional offering, blending intense storytelling with cultural authenticity, in line with Kanccha Lannka’s mission to bring local narratives to the forefront.
