First Patha Utsav of New Year 2025 Stimulates emotive thrills
The vocal performance by Ollywood singer Antara Chakraborty and Swayam Padhi made audience mood meter delight with powerful singing while the dance performance of Saswat Joshi and dance group and Sizzlers dance Group made the spectators rhythmic.
Bhubaneswar: First Patha Utsav of the year 2025 has made its boosting kick off today at Master canteen. On its thematic approach of welcoming the 18th Prabasi Bharatiya Divas 2025; the event has accumulated array of events involving city dwellers here.
The inaugural session took place around 7.30 am at the main stage. The dignitaries graced the session were Dr. Krushna Ch. Mohapatra Minister Housing & Urban Development, Public Enterprises; – Prithviraj Harichandan , Minister of Law, Works, Excise; Aparajita Sadangi MP Bhubaneswar-; Babu Singh ,MLA Ekamra Bhubaneswar, Sulochana Das, Mayor BMC; Usha Padhee ,Principal Secretary H & UD Department; Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, Commissioner BMC; Dr. N. Thirumala Naik ,Vice Chairman BDA.
As Govt. of Odisha is involved in hosting many national and international events; present context is an opportune time to organise 18th Prabasi Bharatiya Divas 2025 in Bhubaneswar Odisha. Patha Utsav this time is an impetus to inform city communities for their involuntary participation in hosting the event.
The event has been a stimulating factor to release stress and enjoy the winter morning in a non-motorised atmosphere where people get pleasant feeling of Aama sahara Aama Rasta. The intensity of involvement to the tune of event items was quite representative in all 25 to 30 events in both the stretch from Master canteen to Sri ram Mandir. Song, dance, music, Mal khamba , Bhubaneswar got talent, Magic, Child play unit, Yoga, Skating, Attractive Odisha food items on sale, Nukkad Natak, Folk dance, Rangoli on PBD theme, Sanitation awareness of BMC i.e. Mo Khata, Home composting and 3R(recycle, re use and reduce), road safety awareness, Selfie zone, Gazal, Odishi, Sambalpuri and many other items.

The power of sanitation and beautification should be the reflection of our habit and heritage. While we are organising 18th PBD 2025 in Bhubaneswar citizens need to cooperate and make their environment clean and attractive. Hon’ble Minister H & UD urged the citizens.
Such events need to be organised in our cities and team BMC should continue such events; told Law Minister Harichandan.
The street festival today has a large pull of about 25000 visitors and many came with their family members. City communities were indulged with their preferred items to show their talents and release stress.
People of Bhubaneswar and the visitors too are emotionally attached to Patha Utsav. This well curated event encourages community participation and belongingness; said Hon’ble Mayor Das. She also said that such events are good source of ventilating creative ideas.
Commissioner BMC Rajesh Patil introduced the event objective briefing on series of city activation programme across BMC limit. He urged citizen cooperation to make 18th PBD a grand success.
