Director Babu Babu Releases Five New Songs This Durga Puja

Bhubaneswar: Dussehra is the biggest festival of joy and happiness for Odias. The arrival of Goddess Durga fills everyone’s heart with celebration—just as it fills director Babu Babu’s heart with excitement. While some find happiness in visiting pandals and seeing the goddess, others enjoy Odia movies or music videos. This festive season, director Babu Babu has released five songs at once.

The release event was attended by film producer Sachikanta Jena, media planner and creative head Pranay Jethi, producers of all five music videos, artists, and director Babu Babu himself.

Among these, three devotional songs dedicated to Goddess Durga feature several popular actresses.
The devotional song “Tume Parbana Ra Rani, Mu Tora Pujarini” has been made with multiple stars. Senior actresses like Jeena Samal Panigrahi, Shraddha Panigrahi, Priyanka Panigrahi, and Sheetal Pattnaik have performed in it. Lyrics are by Jitendra, music by Amaresh Mishra, and vocals by Asima Panda. The song was produced by Saina Entertainment with producers Sujit Kumar and Akash Mishra.

Another devotional song, “Maa Lo Tote Abhinandan”, is produced by Raghav Swain, featuring actresses Cookies Swain and Disha. Lyrics are by Soumya Ranjan Bal, music by Dibya Chandan, and vocals by Asima Panda. It has been produced under Odisha Music.

The song “Maa Lo Durga Maa Lo” is produced by Mr. Nandikesh, with lyrics by Soumya Ranjan Bal and music by Dibya Chandan. Actress Rupali and child artist Lichi have performed in it.

Apart from devotional numbers, two modern songs have also been released—“Kan Kan” and “Sahe Janmaru Tote Bhal Pauchi”.

“Kan Kan” has music by Pratyush Prabhanjan and vocals by Human Sagar and Shubhalakshmi, with lyrics by Ashok Das. It features Mahaprasad and Pratichi in lead roles. The song is produced by Kumar Rudransh Productions under RP Gunjan.

“Sahe Janmaru Tote Bhal Pauchi” is produced by US Odia and features Abhishek and Disha. Lyrics are by Niranjan Panda, music by Rudra Prasad Nayak, and vocals by Human Sagar and Asima Panda.

Earlier, Babu Babu had already set a record by releasing 10 songs at once. Staying rooted in Odisha’s art, culture, and tradition, he brings this essence into each of his productions. The cinematography for all five songs has been done by Biju.

Director Babu Babu announced that audiences can enjoy these five songs on YouTube during this Durga Puja and experience full-on entertainment.
