“Delivery Boy 2” Exposes the Dark Side of Fake News Culture
Odia Sequel Tackles Truth, Deception, and the High Cost of Headlines
Bhubaneswar: What happens when a lie travels faster than the truth? Delivery Boy 2, the upcoming Odia thriller, dives deep into the murky waters of fake news, media manipulation, and the emotional wreckage caused by sensationalism.
The film follows a gripping murder mystery where the real story is buried beneath waves of viral headlines and breaking news hysteria. At its core, Delivery Boy 2 questions the power of modern media: Who controls the narrative, and who pays the price? As emotions run high and suspicion grows, the line between victim and villain becomes increasingly blurred.
The sequel, directed by Aswin Tripathy, picks up the pace with a high-stakes thriller where one delivery boy’s journey becomes a mirror reflecting society’s obsession with news—real or fabricated.
While the first Delivery Boy (2023) tugged at heartstrings with its portrayal of a young man’s daily struggles, Delivery Boy 2 shifts gears into a world where truth is a commodity, and lives can be destroyed by a single viral clip.
The film features a powerhouse cast led by Buddhaditya Mohanty, Sailendra Samantaray, and Archita Sahu (as Pallavi), alongside Priyambada Swain, Pupindar Singh, Sritam Das, and others. A special appearance by Bhoomika Dash adds further intrigue.
The official teaser, released on Sunday by Aswin Tripathy Films, offers a glimpse into the intense emotional and suspenseful world of the film. Packed with drama, danger, and deception, the teaser sets the tone for what promises to be a must-watch this festive season.
Produced by Jyoti Ranjan Mohanty under Infyson Entertainment, Delivery Boy 2 is slated for a grand theatrical release on 27th August 2025, coinciding with Ganesh Puja.
