‘Chhaki Suna’ Team Salutes Cinema Workers on Labour Day, Teaser on May 3

Bhubaneswar: Marking International Workers’ Day, the team behind the upcoming Odia film Chhaki Suna paid tribute to the unsung heroes of cinema—the countless technicians and crew members who work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring stories to life.

A Tribute to the Backbone of Cinema
Sharing a heartfelt message on social media, the makers wrote: “Lights, camera, action! Behind every perfect shot is the dedication of tireless workers. Happy Labour Day to the backbone of cinema!” The post highlighted the crucial role played by technicians, lightmen, camera operators, and support staff in shaping the final cinematic experience.

New Teaser to Drop on May 3

Adding to the excitement, the makers also announced that a new teaser of Chhaki Suna will be released on May 3, giving fans another glimpse into the much-anticipated film.

The movie stars Anubhav Mohanty in the lead and is directed by Manas Padhiary. Ever since its initial teaser release earlier this year, the film has generated significant buzz among audiences.

The makers have also planned the film’s theatrical release on June 12, 2026, aligning with the festive celebrations of Raja festival, a peak season for Odia cinema.

The film marks the Odia directorial debut of Manas Padhiary and features a large ensemble cast including Sambhabana Mohanty, Abhisek Panda, Divya, Udit Guru, Sukumar Tudu, Choudhury Jayaprakash Das, Santu, Umakant, Raka, Nitu Singh, Bijayini Mohanty, Jitu Mangaraj, Bhakti, and child artist Shreyanshi.

Produced by Naveen Bhandari and Jagrati A. Mohanty under the banners of Amara Muzik and Two Nine Films, the project is backed by a skilled technical team, further raising expectations.

With a festive release planned around Raja and growing anticipation among fans, Chhaki Suna continues to build momentum as one of the most awaited Odia films of 2026.
