Celebrating Odia Cinema: Classic Films Return to the Big Screen in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: With the joint support of the Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture and the Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi, a film screening program is currently underway at Jayadev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

On the second evening of the event, the classic Odia film “Dharitri” was screened. Produced by Dhirendra Nath Biswal and directed by Nitai Palit, the film was warmly received and appreciated by the audience.

The event was graced by the presence of  Shalini Pandit, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the School and Mass Education Department.

It is worth noting that the Odia film screening program will continue at Jayadev Bhawan from June 12 to June 19.

On the opening day, Thursday, the Odia film Bhakta Salabega was screened.
