‘Bou Buttu Bhuta’ Wraps Up Shoot, Set for June 12 Release

Bhubaneswar: The much-anticipated horror film *Bou Buttu Bhuta*, starring superstar Babushaan Mohanty, has officially wrapped up filming. The movie, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jagdish Mishra and produced by Tripti Satpathy under the banner of Babushaan Films, is slated to hit cinema halls on June 12, 2025.

Sharing behind-the-scenes images from the final day of shooting, actor Babushaan and producer Tripti Satpathy expressed their excitement, captioning the post: *”It’s a wrap! See you on June 12.”

Earlier, the makers had urged fans to *“block your dates”* for the film’s theatrical release, building anticipation with a gripping teaser that offered a glimpse into the chilling world of *Bou Buttu Bhuta*.

Featuring a stellar cast including **Archita** and **Aparajita Mohanty**, alongside Babushaan, the film promises a spine-chilling experience designed to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. According to insiders, *Bou Buttu Bhuta* aims to raise the bar for horror cinema in the Odia film industry.

The production had briefly paused earlier this year following the unfortunate demise of Babushaan’s father, legendary actor **Uttam Mohanty**, before resuming and completing filming this weekend.

Babushaan, who was last seen in the box office success *Pabar* directed by Ashok Pati, recently bagged the **Best Actor** award for his powerful performance in *Daman*, which also won **Best Film** at the State Film Awards. This film also marks a reunion for Babushaan and Archita, who were last seen together in the 2019 romantic drama *Ajab Sanjura Gajab Love*.
