Bhubaneswar: Acclaimed Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap is in awe of the Odia film Jajabara 2.0, saying it’s aesthetically beautiful, intriguing and low budget and Hindi cinema needs to learn how to do it.

Anurag Kashyap is an Indian filmmaker known for his works in Hindi cinema. Kashyap is regarded as an auteur and is credited for pioneering India’s filmmaking scene. His movies such as Gangs of Wasseypur, Black Friday, No Smoking, Dev D and others had created cult status.
The film released in cinema halls across the state on March 22 and will later streamed at AAO NXT OTT platform.
This film is a one night travel story made with a visual style portraying toxicity & internal conflicts of minds which seeks for redemption. It shows 3 nomads Jagat who seeks redemption from his past, Satya who seeks redemption from his own self & Manini who seeks redemption from the wicked city & how all of them are interlinked.
This film is set in a fictional Cuttack city of late 90’s where the contract killer Jagat is shown as a die-hard Sriram panda fan an Odia Superstar who later gave up on his stardom to became spiritual monk & left his past behind.
The movie directed by Abhishek Swain and produced by Kaushik Das and Ram Patnaik and starring Devesh Ranjan, Prasanjeet Mohapatra, Sonali Sharmistha, BM Baisali, Choudhury Bikash Das, Sweta Acharya, Manas Ranjan in important roles.
