‘Bindusagar’: Title of New Odia Film Unveiled on Debasnana Purnima

Bhubaneswar: On the auspicious occasion of Debasnana Purnima, a new Odia film titled “Bindusagar” was officially announced by PlatoonOne Films and Boundless Blackbuck Films, in collaboration with MDC Filmworks. The announcement has already sparked curiosity and excitement among fans of Odia cinema.

Directed by Abhishek Swain, best known for Jajabara 2.0, and penned by writer Abhishek Das, the film promises a compelling narrative rooted in Odisha’s culture and history. Shiladitya Bora, Vinay Reddy, and Shubho Shekhar are backing the project as producers, bringing together a strong creative force behind the scenes.

The cast features some of the most talented faces in the industry, including Prakruti Mishra, Dipanwit Dasmohapatra, Sonali Sharmistha, Satya Ranjan, Robin Das, Kishore Swain, Jagannath Seth, Manoj, Pranab Prasanna Rath, Sukant Rath.

While the plot is still under wraps, insiders suggest that “Bindusagar” will be a film deeply intertwined with Odisha’s cultural essence, possibly drawing inspiration from the sacred water body of the same name in Bhubaneswar.

The official release date for Bindusagar will be revealed soon, but the announcement itself has already created buzz across the Odia film fraternity.
